Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Lima Airport. Transfer to hotel included

Once you arrive to the Lima airport, you will meet our Discover Satori representative for a transfer to your confirmed Lima hotel. If arriving early, you can also take in scenic “Parque Del Amor” (Love Park) in Miraflores for views of Lima’s gorgeous coastline. If you arrive to Lima in the early afternoon, one of our representatives will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel in the scenic waterfront district of Miraflores.

Day 2 – Secret Slave Tunnels (Chincha). Overnight in Paracas

In the morning early, one of our representatives will pick you up from your accommodation to take you to the bus station where you will take a bus to Chincha and to Paracas. Upon your arrival at Chincha, you will have free tour of the Secret Slave underground Tunnels at the Hacienda San Jose. As well as, you will learn about the history of the ex-sugar plantation and the tunnels that lay beneath. Then you will continue your journey to Paracas and once you get there, you will have time to take a walk around the beach and enjoy some ceviche dish by the sea, or familiarize yourself with local knowledg. You will spend the night in Paracas hotel. You also will relax by the pool, enjoying the sunset over Paracas Bay.

Day3 – Ballestas islands boat tour, Paracas National Reserve, Dune Buggy and Sandboarding in Huacachina. Overnight in Huacachina.

In this tour, you will visit the Paracas National Reserve and getting around wildlife wonderland on the Ballestas Islands via boat and on foot. You will see the famous Candelabro and the Humbolt penguins, pelicans, flamencos, roaring sea lions and spot dolphins. Then you will drive to Hucachina,the only desert oasis in South America where you will explore all around and enjoying   Dunebuggy/Sandboarding tour, even you might fly up the slopes in a dunebuggy, and sandboard down the biggest dunes in South America.  You will spend the night around Huacachina Lake.

Note: Please, let us know if you are interested in adding the Pisco vineyards tour. If so, you will spend another night in Huacachina. We would be happy to accommodate your request.

Day 4 – Nazca lines flight. Return to Lima.

By the morning, you will head out Huacachina in order to go to Nazca airport, where you will store your luggages at the airport and then you will board a small aircraft for a thrilling flight over the Nazca Lines (This place holds the enormous (15 to 300 m. each) ancient man-made figures of animals, such as the spider, monkey, dog, condor, among others. After landing, you will be taken to Lima, where you will spend the night here.

Day 5 – Fly to Arequipa. City tour in Arequipa

You will fly from Lima to Arequipa. Once you get to Arequipa, you will take a short drive to your hotel or similar accommodation. Your guide will take you for a closer look at Arequipa’s mestizo baroque architecture. Then you will visit San Ignacio Chapel, the imposing Basilica Cathedral, and the mini city of Santa Catalina Monastery. Your naturalist guide will tell you more about what to expect during your stay. Your tour will end with a drive to one of the city’s look out points for views of the city framed by Misti Volcano.

DAY 6: Colca Canyon Excusion

Your Colca Canyon tour will start early in the morning, on your way there you will see the Chachani mountain range, the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserves. The bus will make a stop in Pampa Cañahuas (vicuñas reserve), and then head to Pampa Tojra where you will be able to observe local and migratory birds. You will have lunch in a restaurant in Chivay. In the afternoon, you will visit ‘La Calera” located 3km away from Chivay. In the evening, you will enjoy a delicious dinner with a colorful traditional dance show in a local restaurant in Chivay. You will spend the night in Colca – Chivay.

DAY 7 See condors soaring. Journey to Puno

Day 7 will start early in the morning by visiting the Cruz del Condor viewpoint where you will be able to see the famous condor birds flying as well as the depth of the Colca canyon. At the pre – arranged time, you will be taken to Chivay’s main square where you will take the bus to Puno city, during this journey the bus will make several stops at different attractions such as the Patapampa volcanoes viewpoint (4950 metres above sea level) and Lagunillas. The journey to Puno will take about 7 hours or so. Once you arrive to Puno, one of our representatives is going to wait for you to take you to your hotel in Puno where you will spend the night.

Day 8 – Lake Titicaca tour to Uros and Taquile islands. Overnight in Puno

After breakfast, head out from the port of Puno to Uros & Taquile Islands by boat. Enjoy your excursion by first visiting Uros Islands, the most photographed attraction on Lake Titicaca. This beautiful place is steeped in tradition and culture. You will be able to sail on the famous ‘totora’ boats. Continue your journey by sailing on the ‘Mayor Lake’ that will take you to Taquile Island, a place known for its impressive textile art and for remaining very true to traditions up to this day. Enjoy a delicious lunch prepared fresh with local ingredients. After lunch, head down 533 stone steps to reach Taquile’s main port to take the boat back to Puno where you will spend the night.

Day 9 – Journey to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco

After your delicious breakfast, early in the morning, you will go to Cusco city by bus.The comfortable, first-class bus will make stops in different traditional towns with full of history, such as Pucara, Racchi and Andahuaylillas. Upon your arrival to Cusco, one of our representatives will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel or accommodation in Cusco city.

Day 10 – Cusco city tour

Today is an exciting day to explore the heart of Cusco city!!! You will begin your day with a private guided tour of Cusco’s most important sites. You will start with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral and Qoricancha. Later, you will see the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay (temple of water), and Sacred Alters on the Bed Rock formations. Then you will spend the afternoon at your leisure.  You can shop with locals at San Pedro Market, wander on the streets of 12 angles (stonework) or bohemian San Blas.

DAY 11: Private Sacred Valley Tour. Journey to Machu Picchu by Train

By the morning, after your breakfast, you will meet your guide for a trip to the Sacred Valley. Along the Valley, you will see stunning farmland of cornfield and the Urubamba River. Your private tour continue  with the short  visit to an Alpaca and Llama zoo, then head to an Inca cemetery at the ruins of Pisac, followed by  the monolithic fortress ruins and village of Ollantaytambo. When you finish your tour, around 7 P.M, catch the train to Aguas Calientes, base town for Machu Picchu where you will stay in a comfortable stated hotel.

Important Note: Sometimes train tickets sell out quickly and we must take an alternative train, the Vistadome train at 3:36 p.m. If this is the case, we will take this option.

Day 12 – Machu Picchu tour. Return to Cusco

Day 12 will be one of the more remarkable and busy day, because you will visit one of the 7 new wonders of the world and thus you will need to wake up early and will go up to Machu Picchu sanctuary with your guide by bus and you will have a memorable walking tour through the “Lost City of the Incas”. Let yourself be swept away by the magical landscape that surrounds this important ruin. Finish up with last photos and then return to Aguas Calientes town for the return trip to Cusco/ Sacred Valley.

DAY 13: Return to Lima or continue your journey.

After enjoying your final breakfast at your Cusco hotel, one of our representatives will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the Cusco airport to begin your journey back home. (Optional recommended excursion) – Depending on the time of your international flight, you can take the opportunity to squeeze in a private tour of Lima’s key sites. Please ask our travel advisors.

We require a deposit of 50% of the total price per person, in order to book and secure any trek or city tour with Discover Satori. The deposit can be made by PayPal, which will incur a 5.5% merchant fee paid by the traveler, or by wire to Bank of America or Citibank (for free if you are a fellow account holder).
