Day 1: Arrival in Lima Airport. Transfer to hotel included

Once you arrive to the Lima airport, you will meet our Discover Satori representative for a transfer to your confirmed Lima hotel. If arriving early, you can also take in scenic “Parque Del Amor” (Love Park) in Miraflores for views of Lima’s gorgeous coastline. If you arrive to Lima in the early afternoon, one of our representatives will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel in the scenic waterfront district of Miraflores.

DAY 2: Fly from Lima to Puerto Maldonado.

You will fly from Lima to Puerto Maldonado, the Amazon Rainforest. Once you get there, you will meet the lodge staff in order to be taken to the port, and board a motorized canoe to travel by river to your lodge and will have time to settle in it. In addition to that, you will spend the rest of the afternoon acclimating to the rainforest environment. Your naturalist guide will tell you more about what to expect during your stay.

DAY 3: Amazon Activities.

Amazon day¡ in this exciting day, you will have the best chance to glimpse the incredible biodiversity of Peru’s rainforest. You will visit an oxbow lake, shores of Sandoval to observe looking for birds, squirrel monkeys, giant otters and black Caiman.  In addition to that, you will learn about medicinal plants and how the indigenous villagers use them. At night, join your guide to spot critters that only come out after dark such black Caimans.

DAY 4: Amazon Activities

Today you will complete your exploration of the rainforest with a visit to a clay lick where parrots and macaws get together, also you will explore a trail that winds through giant Ceiba trees or similar ones reaching 500 feet (150 meters) tall. Look at¡ you will navigate by boat to an organic farm where locals cultivate a range of fruits and vegetables, some of which will be strange and others familiar.

DAY 5: Fly from Puerto Maldonado to Cusco. Explore and relax

After your delish breakfast at the lodge, you will board a boat for the journey back to Puerto Maldonado and will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Once you arrive to Cusco, you will meet our Discover Satori representative to be taken to your hotel. In Cusco, your first day will be free to relax and be ready to explore Cusco. If you’re feeling up to it, the city center is pedestrian-friendly and makes for a great stroll. We are happy to recommend the city’s best options for dining and shopping, in line with your specific interests or requirements. Remember to take it easy on your first day at altitude.

DAY 6: Private Cusco City Tour.

Today is an exciting day to explore the heart of Cusco city!!! You will begin your day with a private guided tour of Cusco’s most important sites. You will start with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral and Qoricancha. Later, you will see the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay (temple of water), and Sacred Alters on the Bed Rock formations. Then you will spend the afternoon at your leisure.  You can shop with locals at San Pedro Market, wander on the streets of 12 angles (stonework) or bohemian San Blas.

DAY 7: Private Sacred Valley Tour. Journey to Machu Picchu by Train

By the morning after your breakfast, you will meet your guide for a trip to the Sacred Valley. This tour will include to visit the ancient concentric circle terraces of Moray which descend nearly 500 feet (150 meters) into the earth, the multi-hued salt pans of Maras ( Salt mines), and the monolithic fortress ruins and Village of Ollantaytambo. When you finish your tour, catch the train to Aguas Calientes, base town for Machu Picchu where you will stay in a comfortable selected hotel.

DAY 8: Private Machu Picchu Tour. Return to Cusco

Day 8 will be one of the more remarkable and busy day, because you will visit one of the 7 new wonders of the world and thus you will need to wake up early and will go up to Machu Picchu sanctuary with your guide by bus and you will have a memorable walking tour through the “Lost City of the Incas”. Let yourself be swept away by the magical landscape that surrounds this important ruin. Finish up with last photos and then return to Aguas Calientes town for the return trip to Cusco/ Sacred Valley.

DAY 9: Return to Lima or continue your journey.

After enjoying your final breakfast at your Cusco hotel, one of our representatives will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the Cusco airport to begin your journey back home. (Optional recommended excursion) – Depending on the time of your international flight, you can take the opportunity to squeeze in a private tour of Lima’s key sites. Please ask our travel advisors.
